Meet Rich Bonn
Mortgage nerd. Traveling classroom. Bearded problem-solver. Professional maker of questionable jokes.
If real estate education had a comic-book character, Rich Bonn would probably show up wearing a jacket, a kippah, a very serious beard, and carrying enough energy to power half of Houston.
Rich is the force behind Habayit Home Loans, where he helps homebuyers, investors, entrepreneurs, 1099 earners, and especially self-employed borrowers figure out how to buy real estate when their financial lives do not fit neatly inside the little boxes traditional lending loves so much.
His specialty?
The borrowers who make great money... but whose tax returns somehow make it look like they survive on ramen noodles and optimism.
Over the years, Rich discovered something else: he loves teaching almost as much as he loves solving complicated mortgage puzzles.
That is how the Traveling Classroom was born.
Instead of expecting real estate professionals to sit through another painfully boring class under fluorescent lights while quietly reconsidering every life decision that brought them there, Rich takes education on the road. He teaches practical CE classes designed to give Realtors tools they can actually use, covering everything from self-employed borrowers and alternative mortgage strategies to appraisal changes, artificial intelligence, personal branding, and the wonderfully weird intersection of real estate and technology.
The teaching style is simple: useful information, real-world examples, zero desire to sound like a textbook. Expect stories. Expect interaction. Expect the occasional terrible joke that Rich will find considerably funnier than everyone else.
And expect energy. A lot of energy.
Rich believes education should make you want to do something with what you learned. Every class is built around helping real estate professionals solve more problems, serve more people, build stronger businesses, and become an even bigger resource for their clients.
Behind all the comic-book energy is a pretty simple mission: help good people build wealth, freedom, and legacies through real estate. Rich has experienced what it means to build, lose, rebuild, and keep moving forward โ and that perspective shapes the way he teaches, the way he approaches mortgages, and the way he works with the real estate community.
So if you are looking for an instructor who stands behind a podium reading PowerPoint slides word-for-word... Rich is probably not your guy. But if you want a Traveling Classroom packed with useful ideas, memorable stories, mortgage knowledge, AI, real estate strategy, a magnificent beard, and enough personality to make continuing education actually entertaining...
Welcome to class.
